
We all know that when it comes to advertising a product it’s going to run expensive, and several people, including Apple had something to say about Microsoft forking over $300 million to shout out the goodness of Vista in their advertising campaign.But the reality is Apple spends far more on getting the big wide world to know about their products and services, however, unlike Microsoft, Apple campaigns actually work.According to figures, Apple’s advertising budget for the fiscal year ending 2008 was a staggering $486 million, the year before it was $467 million, and before that in 06 it was $338 million, so it looks like advertising is becoming more expensive. So maybe Apple shouldn’t be saying anything against just how much Microsoft pays when they are no more frugal.
